Iron darts are member's only Ranged throwing weapons. To wield them, players must have at least 10 Ranged. They can be obtained by using the Smithing and Fletching skills, trading with another player, or sometimes by smashing barrels. Iron darts can be wielded with a shield or god book for protection.

To create iron darts the player must have completed the Tourist Trap quest (Quest not required anymore) and have at least 19 Smithing and 22 Fletching. Each iron bar will create 10 iron dart tips and the player will receive 25 Smithing experience. When feathers are added the player will receive 10 iron darts and 3.8 Fletching experience per iron dart. It is worth noting that currently iron darts are cheaper to buy than their weaker counter parts, the bronze dart.

These are one of the darts that can usually be fletched for profit.
