|Examine||A rune tipped javelin.|
The rune javelin is a ranged throwing weapon requiring 50 Ranged. The rune javelin is one-handed, so it can be wielded with a shield or god book for protection. The rune javelin is the third strongest javelin, the strongest being Morrigan's javelin and the second strongest being the Sagaie. It is also the strongest one-handed weapon available to non-members, but is not commonly used due to its higher price compared to rune arrows and magic bows. Magic shieldbows equipped with rune arrows share the same stats of rune javelins equipped with a Blue d'hide shield. However, a common use for them in free-to-play is to kill Elvarg, since they are much more accurate and damaging than a crossbow, Phoenix crossbow, or even an Exquisite crossbow with bronze bolts.
Rune javelins, like all lesser-metal javelins, rarely sell on the Grand Exchange. To make money from them, players may cast high-level alchemy on them, as the return for doing so is acceptable. Players can also use the high or low level alchemy capability of the Explorer's Ring on them, as this does not consume any runes. Players without high alchemy or the ring can sell them in stores, although this method gives the least coins per javelin.

How to acquire rune javelinsEdit
Rune javelins can be obtained either by buying from the Ranging Guild, the range shop at the Void Knights' Outpost, or as a monster drop from any monster that has access to the rare drop table. They're also a fairly common drop from Iron and Steel Dragons.
