Sieves are used to make impling jars. When you use anchovies with a pestle and mortar they create anchovy paste. Once the player obtains 8, and uses them with a sieve, anchovy oil is created. You can get sieves by talking to the chemist in Rimmington about impling jars. One can also be obtained for free by talking to Elena, during the quest Mourning's Ends Part I one can get it as an exchange for a rotten apple.
