Tim is a character often used by Jagex on the official RuneScape website, although he never appeared in-game. Tim is depicted as a warrior with a Tyras helm and metallic armour. His name was released in an issue of Postbag from the Hedge.

Tim often featured on the RuneScape website alongside his companion, an armed skeleton named Crunchy. The two were most notably seen holding the High and Low detail buttons before the addition of RuneScape High Detail, with Tim on the right holding the low-detail button. The two also featured on various pieces of artwork released by Jagex, as well as on the cover of RuneScape - The Official Handbook.

Since Jagex's style of website artwork has changed heavily over time, Tim and Crunchy are rarely used now. A previous log-in screen featured a skeleton and a warrior, which were possibly the twos' most recent incarnations. However, this log-in screen has been updated and neither Tim nor Crunchy are shown on it now.

Tim has a small green dragon pet called Eski. It was mentioned in the 14th issue of Postbag from the Hedge.[1] No other information on Eski is known at this time.

Before Tim and Crunchy were the characters behind the detail select, there were a knight and a wizard holding the game type select. They were later replaced with Tim and Crunchy when the members/free play select got replaced with the detail select.
